On the October 2005 What is it #483
you call it an Ice Pike or an Ice Hook. I think it is a Wagon Wheel adjuster. I have one I bought at an antique shop and it is exactly like the one you show. I also volunteer at Pioneer Village in Gonzales, Texas and the barn has one much like ours. We don't have much Ice here, but have had a lot of wagons. dubya
